The DFCU Financial Federal Credit Union (DFCU) Board of Directors consists of people who are elected by DFCU Financial's membership to oversee the governance of the credit union. There also is a Supervisory Committee that oversees the annual financial audit, regulatory examinations and the internal controls of the credit union. The Board and Supervisory Committee members serve on a volunteer basis. After gaining experience with the credit union’s operations, Supervisory Committee members are generally the first source for new director appointments.
The Role of a Board of Directors
DFCU Financial’s Board of Directors is responsible for guiding and overseeing the direction of the credit union to ensure that the long-term interests of members are being served. Members should expect that the Board will look after their interests and present proposals and ideas that best serve the overall membership. DFCU Financial seeks Board members who are experienced professionals and whose careers and knowledge contribute to the overall success of DFCU Financial. Board members should have diverse experience in order to guide and best serve the needs of DFCU Financial and its overall membership.
