Who is eligible to join DFCU Financial?
Under our community charter, people who reside, work, worship or are enrolled in post high school educational facilities in the 68 counties of the lower peninsula of Michigan are eligible to join DFCU Financial. However, everyone is welcome, so if you don't qualify under one of these options, please call to learn about other ways you may join.  You can call DFCU Financial at 313.336.2700 or 888.336.2700 outside the local area.

Why do you call your patrons members instead of customers?
Because DFCU Financial is a cooperative organization, which means each member holds a share and is entitled to one vote. Our Board of Directors are members who are elected and serve as non-paid volunteers.

Can I reorder checks online?
Yes. Place your mouse over the word SAVE in the green bar from any page in DFCU OnLine. Click on "Checking and Savings Accounts". From the Checking and Savings Accounts page, click on "Check Reordering" in the blue "Tools that work for you" box.

Do I need to do my business at the branch where I open my account?
You can conduct transactions at any DFCU Financial location.  Please note, however, that even though the merger of CapCom is final, you should continue to use the branches in the region where you opened your account until our systems are integrated later this year.
