About DFCU Financial Seminars for Adults
Over the past five years, more than 7,000 people have attended DFCU Financial’s free financial management seminars. These seminars are now more relevant than ever because of the economically challenging times we’re experiencing in southeastern Michigan. Members continue to tell us that they are finding it difficult to keep up and financially adapt to new and unexpected circumstances, such as wage cuts, early retirement and layoffs. In an effort to help members, we’ve begun holding additional seminars at more branch locations to make attending more convenient for members. The seminars offered are Personal Money Management, Credit Management, Personal Wealth Builder, Post-Retirement Wealth Retention and Estate Planning. All seminars are free and open to the public and conducted by Charles Hoff, an accredited financial counselor through the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education. About DFCU Financial Seminars for Children and Teens
DFCU Financial believes educating our youth about money management is essential and should begin early. We offer seminars for both kids and teens to teach them the basics of money management that will serve them well as they grow into adults. Our Teen Connection is for kids ages 13-18. Teen Connection Seminar (Seminar Description)
Seminars in 2009 will be held quarterly.
Topics covered include: savings options, checking accounts (how to balance and maintain successfully), credit scores and credit cards. You will have the opportunity to win prizes and will have a pizza lunch. It's a great way to prepare yourself for financial independence
