Borrowing
Borrowing money allows you to get something now and pay for it later. Knowing when to borrow and when to save, as well as how much extra you will pay to borrow is the key.
Borrowing money is not a good habit to develop. When you borrow money, it should be for your NEEDS - not your WANTS. Until you are grown, your parents take care of your needs, and the money you get can be spent for the things you want.
Grown ups borrow money for big things they NEED - like cars and houses. The best plan for buying smaller things that you WANT is to save money until you have enough to pay for them.
When you do need to borrow money for something, the credit union will charge you a fee. This is called interest. So, when you borrow money, you will pay back more than you borrowed. (That is why it is better to save and pay for the things you want!)
