Alerts and Notifications

Want to know when your checking account balance is low?  When a large transaction posts to your account?

You can sign up for free* Account Alerts in DFCU OnLine for better money management on the go.  We'll send you alerts throughout the day as activity occurs that meet the criteria you establish for your accounts. 

Balance Alerts help you monitor accounts balances.  You can set up an alert to tell you when your balance on a particular account is above or below a certain dollar amount.

Transaction Alerts help you monitor transactions on your accounts.  You can pick transactions of an exact dollar amount, transactions below, or above a certain dollar amount or transactions of any dollar amount.  For example, you can be alerted when debit card transactions posts to your account, when your direct deposit is available, or when a large check or withdrawal posts. 

Getting started with alerts.

Log-in to your account through DFCU OnLine.  On the main summary page, click on the Alerts option.  Before you set up specific alerts, you'll need designate Contact Points--or e-mail addresses where you want your alerts to be sent.  To have your email arrive as a text message on your mobile phone use one of the formats below.  The cellnumber should be your ten-digit number, and must contain no punctuation/spaces.  Contact your phone carrier for more information if it is not listed below.

After you have added Contact Points, click on “Manage Alerts” to add either an Account Balance or Transaction alert.

Security Notifications

We'll send you automatic notifications when you make important changes to your account in DFCU OnLine.  This helps us protect you against fraud.  Sometimes these notifications come in the U.S. Mail, but most of the time they are sent to the e-mail address we have on file for you.  There is nothing you need to do to receive these security notifications.  We notify you when you change your:

  • Address
  • E-mail change
  •  DFCU OnLine password change
  • Statement delivery preference
