Reporting Suspicious Email

DFCU Financial will never request that you send personal information via e-mail.  If you encounter a suspicious e-mail or web site that says it's from DFCU Financial, do not respond to it.  Instead:

  
  • Forward suspicious emails and web sites to reportabuse@dfcufinancial.com so we can investigate the source.
  • Once you have forwarded the email, please delete it from your mailbox.
  • Forward only those emails that claim to be affiliated with DFCU Financial.
  • Please do not use this email for conducting other business with DFCU Financial. 
 

 

How Do I Protect Myself From Phishing Attempts?

You should be suspicious of any email that appears to be from DFCU Financial containing links (other than a link to our website) to a page asking you for your personal information. You should never provide personal information in response to an unsolicited request. DFCU Financial will never ask you to update personal information or ask you to enter your username and password through an email. In the event you receive an email that asks for personal information (member number, social security number, PIN number, password), please consider this an unauthorized attempt to gain access to your accounts for purposes of fraud.

You should only provide us with personal information once you have logged into DFCU OnLine from our homepage, which has the most up-to-date security features in place to protect your account information. Also, you will want to pay careful attention to any link you click on to make sure it is the appropriate web site address.
